If you are traveling by car, start from the town of Mutare in Eastern Highlands. Take the A3 road heading southwest towards Masvingo. Continue on the A3 for approximately 150 kilometers. You will pass through several towns including Nyanga and Rusape. Once you reach Masvingo, stay on the main road (A4) and follow the signs towards Great Zimbabwe. After you pass the Great Zimbabwe Monument, turn onto Shepherds Plot Road. The Lodge At Ancient City will be located at 1 Shepherds Plot.

For those traveling by public transport, you can take a bus from Mutare to Masvingo. The journey typically takes around 3 to 4 hours. Buses leave regularly from the Mutare Bus Terminal. Upon arriving at Masvingo, you can either take a taxi from the bus station or find a local minibus heading towards Great Zimbabwe. In either case, inform the driver that you want to go to Shepherds Plot. Once you are on Shepherds Plot Road, the Lodge At Ancient City is located at 1 Shepherds Plot.
