Start at the Harare Gardens located in the city center. From the main entrance of the gardens, head east towards Samora Machel Avenue. Once you reach the avenue, turn left and walk north until you reach the intersection with Julius Nyerere Way. Turn right onto Julius Nyerere Way, and continue walking. After about 1 kilometer, you will see 'Free Walking Tour Harare' at 20 Julius Nyerere Way on your left.
Public Transport - Minibus
Locate a nearby minibus stop in the city center, such as near the Eastgate Shopping Mall. Board a minibus heading towards the 'Town' or 'CBD' routes; the fare is usually very affordable. Inform the driver that you need to stop at Julius Nyerere Way. After a short ride, disembark when you reach the intersection of Julius Nyerere Way and Samora Machel Avenue.
