Getting There

• Car

  Start your journey from Lowveld by heading north on the A4 highway towards Harare. Continue on the A4 for about 500 kilometers until you reach the outskirts of Harare. As you approach the city, follow the signs for the city center. Once you arrive at Harare, take the exit for Samora Machel Avenue, then turn left onto Sandringham Drive. Continue on Sandringham Drive for approximately 2 kilometers. The Harare Botanical Gardens will be on your left at the address 30 Sandringham Dr, Harare. Parking is available on-site.

• Public Transportation

  From Lowveld, take a bus or shared taxi heading to Harare, which is available from various terminals in the region. The journey may take around 6 to 8 hours depending on traffic. Upon arrival at the main bus terminal in Harare, you can take a local taxi (commonly known as 'kombis') or a ride-sharing service. Request to be dropped off at 30 Sandringham Drive. The Harare Botanical Gardens will be within walking distance from the drop-off point, approximately 500 meters away.

• Taxi

  If you prefer to travel directly from Lowveld to Harare, consider hiring a private taxi service. This option is more comfortable but also more expensive. A taxi can take you directly to the Harare Botanical Gardens, following the same route as a private car. Ensure to negotiate the fare beforehand; it may cost around $100 to $150 for a one-way trip depending on the distance and negotiating skills.
