Getting There

• Car

  If you're driving, start from the Mana Pools National Park entrance. Head southeast on the main park road toward the Zambezi River. Continue on this road for about 10 kilometers, keeping an eye out for signage directing you toward the Giant Baobab Tree. You will need to take a right turn onto a smaller dirt road after crossing a small stream. Follow this road for approximately 3 kilometers until you see the Giant Baobab Tree on your left. Make sure your vehicle is suitable for rough terrain.

• Public Transportation

  Public transportation options are limited within Mana Pools National Park. However, if you are in a lodge or campsite, inquire if they offer a guided tour or shuttle service to the Giant Baobab Tree. This service may incur additional costs, typically around $20-$30 per person, depending on the operator. If no shuttle is available, you may need to arrange for a local guide who can provide transport. The guide will drive you directly to the tree using the same route as described above.

• Walking

  For those adventurous enough to walk, you can trek from the main park road. Starting at the park entrance, walk southeast along the main road for about 10 kilometers. Once you reach the small stream, take the dirt road to your right and follow it for approximately 3 kilometers. The walk is scenic, but be prepared for the heat and bring plenty of water. Ensure you have a local guide or someone familiar with the area as wildlife may be present.
