Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving from the main camps in Mana Pools National Park, head south towards the main entrance road. Follow the signs directing you to the Nyamepi Camp area. Once you reach the Nyamepi Camp, continue on the main road until you see signs for Kariba. The viewpoint is located near Kariba, approximately 25 km from the Nyamepi Camp. Keep an eye out for the coordinates FRF2+J3G on your GPS or map application, as this will guide you directly to the viewpoint. Ensure your vehicle is suitable for off-road conditions, as some paths may be uneven.

• Public Transportation

  For those using public transportation, you can take a minibus or shared taxi from Harare to Kariba. Once you arrive in Kariba, you can hire a local taxi to take you to the viewpoint. Make sure to communicate the exact location (FRF2+J3G) to the driver. The taxi ride from Kariba to the viewpoint may take around 30 minutes, depending on traffic and road conditions. Be prepared for additional costs for the taxi fare, which can vary but usually ranges between $20 to $30 USD.

• Walking

  If you are already within Mana Pools National Park and prefer a more adventurous route, consider a guided walking safari. Speak to your camp or lodge about arranging a guided walk towards the viewpoint area. This will not only provide an opportunity to experience the local flora and fauna but also ensure you have a knowledgeable guide to navigate the terrain safely. Please note that this option may require prior arrangement and additional costs for the guide.
