Walking
Start from the center of Mutare, near the Mutare Museum. Head southeast on Herbert Chitepo Street towards the junction with 2nd Street. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with the A5 highway. Cross the highway carefully and continue on the dirt path leading into the nearby hills. This path will lead you towards the base of Castle Beacon. Follow the signs that indicate the trail to Castle Beacon. It is a moderate hike, so be prepared for some elevation.

Public Transport (Minibus)
From the center of Mutare, make your way to the nearest minibus rank. Look for a minibus heading towards the eastern suburbs or specifically to Chikanga or Dangamvura. Inform the conductor you are going to Castle Beacon or ask them to drop you off at the entrance to the trailhead. Once you arrive at the drop-off point, follow the signs leading to the hiking trail. It will be a short walk from there to the base of Castle Beacon.

Bicycle
If you have access to a bicycle, start from the center of Mutare and head east along Herbert Chitepo Street. Continue straight until you reach the A5 highway. Carefully cross the highway and follow the dirt road that leads into the hills. The ride will take you through scenic landscapes, and you will be able to park your bicycle at the base of Castle Beacon before beginning your hike to the summit.
