Getting There

  • Walking

    From the center of Mutare, head south on Herbert Chitepo Street. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with George Silundika Avenue. Turn left onto George Silundika Avenue and walk for about 1 kilometer until you reach the junction with Chikanga Road. Turn right onto Chikanga Road. Continue along Chikanga Road for approximately 1.5 kilometers. You will start to see signs for Cecil Kopje. As you approach, look for the entrance to the park on your left. Follow the path uphill towards Cecil Kopje.

  • Public Transport (Bus)

    From the Mutare bus terminal, take a local bus heading towards Chikanga. Make sure to inform the bus driver that you are going to Cecil Kopje. The bus will take you along Chikanga Road. Once you reach the Cecil Kopje stop, disembark and walk a short distance to the entrance of the park, which will be on your right. Follow the path uphill to reach the viewpoint.

  • Bicycle

    If you have access to a bicycle, start from the center of Mutare and ride south on Herbert Chitepo Street. Continue to the intersection with George Silundika Avenue and turn left. Ride approximately 1 kilometer until you reach Chikanga Road. Turn right onto Chikanga Road and continue for about 1.5 kilometers. Look for the Cecil Kopje entrance on your left, and follow the path uphill to the viewpoint.
