We just got back from an unforgettable 11-day private safari with our two families (including two 12-year-old boys who absolutely loved it!). Everything was seamlessly organized from start to finish.
Our itinerary was packed with highlights: history at the Karen Blixen & Nairobi National Museums, elephant herds in Amboseli, the boat trip and walking safari at Lake Naivasha, rhinos in Nakuru, and feeding giraffes plus the Carnivore dinner back in Nairobi. The absolute peak was 4 nights in the Maasai Mara—huge thanks to the team for upgrading us to the luxurious Royal Zebra River Camp!
Our guide Lucas was an absolute legend! He’s super knowledgeable, friendly, and a very safe driver on those bumpy bush roads. He always knew where to spot the wildlife and was great with the kid too. Thanks to his patience and expertise, we got to experience the bucket-list Mara River crossing during the Great Migration!

From the moment I made an enquiry for a safari with Meektrails Safari, Charles got in touch straight away and has been absolutely fantastic throughout the whole booking process, his replies were always prompt and he answered all of my queries pretty much straight away, even late at night! The booking process was seamless, as a family of five, two adults and three children ages 13, 10 and 4 our whole safari experience was truly an unforgettable experience from start to finish. Our guide, Mercy was amazing. She made sure we saw as much as possible and got the most out of our few days at the Masai Mara Reserve, ensuring all of our family’s needs were accommodated. She knew all the best spots and her knowledge of the reserve was outstanding. On our return to Nairobi, Charles was also able to assist us with booking a last tour to the Nairobi National Park and elephant sanctuary, it was a perfect end to our trip as we got to see a white rhino and complete our sighting of the big five. This has been the trip of a lifetime for us, our children have had an unforgettable experience, I cannot recommend Meektrails Safari enough!!

Our 3-day Masai Mara safari with Meektrails was truly one of the best travel experiences we’ve ever had. From the moment we landed until the time we were dropped back, everything was handled with professionalism, warmth, and genuine care.
A special thanks to Valentine, who coordinated our entire trip flawlessly. Just before our safari, our resort booking was unexpectedly cancelled due to an issue at the property. Instead of letting us worry, she immediately arranged an even better accommodation without any hassle on our part. That level of proactive customer service is rare and set the tone for the entire trip.
Our guide, George, was simply outstanding. He picked us up from the airport and stayed with us throughout the three days. George has the kindest heart, an ever-present smile, and a passion for ensuring his guests have the best possible experience.
What impressed us most was that he never treated this as just another safari. Even when we were ready to head back to the resort one evening, he encouraged us to stay out a little longer because he had just received word that a leopard had been spotted nearby. Thanks to his patience and dedication, we were rewarded with yet another incredible sighting.
His kindness extended well beyond wildlife. When I asked where I could exchange currency, instead of sending me to places that might offer poor exchange rates, he generously offered to exchange the money himself at a fair rate. It’s a small gesture, but it speaks volumes about the kind of person he is.
One of the most memorable moments was on our second day, when George arranged a beautiful picnic lunch right in the middle of the Masai Mara. Sitting amidst the vast savannah, surrounded by nature, enjoying lunch in such a breathtaking setting is a memory I’ll cherish forever.
What touched us even more was the care he showed towards my father. Since my father had some difficulty climbing in and out of the safari jeep because of its height, George found a step stool and made sure it was ready every single time we stopped. We never had to ask—he would already be there, helping my father get in and out comfortably. It’s these thoughtful little acts that separate a good guide from an exceptional one.
And of course, the wildlife exceeded every expectation. During just three days, we were fortunate enough to see more than 20 lionesses, 3 leopards, 3 cheetahs, and even a rhinoceros. But the absolute highlight was witnessing one of nature’s most dramatic moments—a coordinated hunt where three lionesses chased and attacked a herd of zebras. Watching such a raw and powerful moment unfold in the wild is something we’ll never forget.
Meektrails delivered far more than just a safari—they created memories that will stay with us for a lifetime. We will pick our guest, transfer them to Wilson Airport. They will then Fly to Masai Mara National Reserve. Our professional guide will pick them take them on a short game drive then they will later check in to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay. The stay location is Lalashe Masai Mara
