    It was good, but still I would say a bit overpriced for a 2-hour experience such as this one. Neverthless the organization and the kogistics around it were perfect!

    Transportation was excellent, the tour was informative, wine was good, and the tour guide had a nice “dry” sense of humor. I only wish that they would ship the wine (we are traveling with hand carry only).

    I had a great time at the winery. Very interesting going thru the underground tunnels. Driver pickup was flawless.

    This was a fantastic winery tour of one of Moldova’s highlights: Cricova. The country is internationally recognised for its superb wine, and so getting the opportunity to explore the underground labyrinth of the Cricova winery complex was fascinating. The space is absolutely cavernous, filled with many kilometres of wine barrels, plus much more, including a cinema, ornate themed tasting rooms and a dedicated shop. Our tour guide was wonderful - her passion for the product absolutely shone - and we particularly enjoyed the private tasting we shared with her at the end of the tour! It was a joy to learn about wine through her - I had never appreciate wine in the way she did - however through her skilled demonstrations on how to taste wine, my friend and I both felt we had come away with a renewed appreciation of it, savouring the complex beauty of the drink. Moldova is a hidden gem of a country and its wineries should be explored.

Here, endless lines of stands are holding the bottles at a certain angle, waiting to be shaken every day, so they could become crystal clear. Currently Cricova is home to 1.3 mln bottles and 640 types of wine. The oldest wine in the collection and the only one of its kind in the world is the wine „Easter Jerusalem”, produced in just one batch in 1902. After the guided tour you will be invited in one of their tasting halls for a memorable wine tasting. It is here where the sommelier will tell you about the story of the bubbles in your glass.
