What to expect
Lawrence Springs - Located in a red rocky desert gained popularity due to its mention by T.E. Lawrence in his renowned work, "Seven Pillars of Wisdom." Traditional as of today, our camels love to drink from this natural spring, which flows down the mountains into the valleys. An oasis with its dwarf trees and verdant moss that shimmers almost like fluorescent light. Alternately, you could walk and hike up the mountain to witness the breathtaking scenery and numerous Thamudic inscriptions.
Red Sand Dune - Al Ramal
Red Sand Dune - Experience the vast expanse of the Red Sand Dunes juxtaposed against the majestic mountains. It offers the opportunity for a strenuous workout while climbing up, and even more enjoyment when running down. One of the most renowned sand dunes in Wadi Rum! The red colour is attributed to a significant concentration of iron oxide. From the highest point, you can experience breathtaking panoramic vistas of the valley.
Khazali Canyon
Khazali Canyon - Features a prominent crevice in the red sandstone, adorned with a diverse collection of ancient rock art. This location is highly renowned for hosting some of the finest petroglyphs in Jordan. Back then, its contained the footprints of the pilgrims who made the journey from Mecca through the canyon and the traders who came here from Egypt with their caravans are still visible today. As you make your way into the canyon, keep an eye out for the intriguing petroglyphs of people, animals, and inscriptions from the Thamudic, Nabatean, and historical periods.
Little Arch
Little Arch - A natural formation like bridge, this little arch overlooks Khor al Ajram and consider as one of the main attractions in Wadi Rum. On a rock formation in the Khor El Ajram area, this Little Bridge has been formed naturally over the years by a variety of harsh weather influences. The breathtaking views from Little Bridge, which is only a few metres high and easy to climb, are well worth the effort.
Lawrence
Lawrence House - A stone structure from the Nabatean period that serves as the residence of T. E. Lawrence, more commonly referred to as Lawrence of Arabia, is renowned for two reasons: the period of time he spent there throughout World War I, and the evocative descriptions found in his renowned work, The Seven Pillars of Wisdom. After a short ascent to the top, you will reach the peak, where you will be astounded by the seemingly endless piles of stones. The Bedouins had a practice of using stone stacks as road markers in their day. Another perk is the expansive view of the desert plain that you can capture in your photographs. Our guide will locate a pleasant shady location for the lunch break, where we will eat and sip tea.
Mushroom Rock
Mushroom Rock - Also known as a rock pedestal or pedestal rock, is a naturally formed rock that bears a resemblance to a mushroom in shape. Years of erosion have worn away the upper portion of the Musroom-shaped rock faster than the lower, giving the rock its distinctive shape. Mushroom Rock is a great spot to get some great photos and even find a little refuge from the sun.
Um Frouth Rock Arch
Burdah Rock Bridge - Renowned for its immense size, this rock in Wadi Rum is considered one of the largest. This expansive, unaltered stone archway offers panoramic vistas of the desert and the adjacent mountains. There is a natural rock bridge that is among the highest at the peak of Jabal Burdah. On this jeep tour, we pull over to the side of the road to get a better look at the bridge but not hike to the top.
Abu Khasaba Canyon
Abu Khashaba Canyon - This one-kilometer trek through a narrow desert canyon, dotted with yellow sand formations and wild bushes, is a must-do within the Wadi Rum protected area due to its beauty and simplicity. This deep, narrow valley is encircled by towering mountain walls, stretch your legs and take a pleasant stroll through it. There will be some bird song and a wide variety of plant life to observe. Your guide will meet you at the end of the 45 minute walk later.
Um Frouth Rock Arch
Um Frouth Rock Arch - This is one of the most photographed locations in Wadi Rum, with a 20-meter ascent that takes approximately 20 minutes round-trip and offers a breathtaking view of the valley. Although it lacks historical significance, it offers the perfect setting for breathtaking photo ops. Tourists might have it a bit tough compared to the locals when it comes to running on the bridge.
Cow Rock - We will take you to the natural rock formation known as Cow Rock. It possesses a round body and two legs! An exceptional position from which to ascend and survey the desert. Due to the nature environment in wadi rum, erosion in particular due to wind and rains has been a relentless force over time, shaping Cow rock into its distinctive and photogenic structure.
Um Sabatah
Um Sabatah - The time for the sunset has arrived, this highlights given to a full day only. otherwise, a half day tour start at afternoon. Your guide will lead you to the Um Sabatah region so that you can witness the breathtaking sunset over Wadi Rum. As one luxuriates in the sunset, one will indulge in Bedouin tea brewed anew over a fire. We will lead you to a secluded location where, as the sun sets, you can admire the expansive panorama. Simply recline on the sand or on the mattress while admiring the splendour that surrounds you.
