The whole trip for whale watching was a fantastic experience!! Before leaving the dock, the captain explained what we needed to know and introduced his enthusiastic staff. From the moment we boarded we were warmly welcomed. The food that was set up was delicious and plentiful…then the open bar was an added benefit. As soon as your beverage was gone you were asked if you wanted another.
The captain guided the boat to a mother and baby…what a joy to see how the mom cares for her young one. The captain was very informative about the whale’s journey while near Maui. We saw another mother and baby pair a short time later.
Our trip was a joyful time and we were so happy to be on board Alii Nui for the afternoon! It is on our list to repeat when we return to Maui!

Captain Josh and his crew were fantastic! Johanna, Brandon, and Corey were all very friendly and exceptionally attentive. The food was just right, the open bar was great, and the boat was very comfortable and clean. And of course, we saw many whales during the sail. Highly recommend!

Wonderful whale watching excursion !! Amazing to see so many whales and captain did an exceptional job narrating and discussing the whales. Food was great - open bar and the staff and others on the boat were kind and welcoming. Family friendly. Especially loved that the boat was large and not too crowded so we could see the whales and move around the boat. A MUST DO excursion while at Maui !!

Our daily whale watch tours run from December 15th until these gentle giants make their way back to Alaska in April.

Most attentive, friendly & professional crew. We took our 86 year grandparents who are young at heart and their were guests of all ages and everyone was thrilled too pieces and spoiled. The captain was so friendly and warm and there were crew that were entertaining the kids, crew that were spoiling the elders and everyone else on the boat and the boat itself was clean and modern. Food and drinks were yummy too. Highly recommend.

Our family had rented a private charter for a 3 hour snorkel and whale watching excursion. The company informed us the day before that the boat we had rented was unavailable due to mechanical issues and we had to reschedule. Then they informed us that the replacement charter was now also unavailable at the morning time requested due to scheduled fire testing, so we had to move to an afternoon departure time. We were disappointed and a bit apprehensive that the trip would be ultimately be cancelled (and it was the last day of our trip, we were flying out that evening). However, they came through and we had the BEST charter trip of our lives. It was amazing! The weather was a bit overcast and choppy waters, but the whales were out and the turtles joined us during the snorkel. The captain and crew were absolutely great.
We highly recommend this excursion and the company - they come through on delivering an enjoyable experience, go above and beyond for their customers, and ultimately provide a great service.

We’ve tried other whale watches but stayed with Alui Nui for the last 8 years because the staff is very helpful and attentive to the customers and we have never failed to get whale sightings.
Also- everyone can sit outside for better views.

A perfect outing! The boat was large, clean, and in excellent condition. They included food and drink, the staff was friendly, courteous, and knowledgeable. The boat was not packed with people so it didn’t feel too crowded, which was a big concern of mine. We were the first boat to spot and watch some packs of whales and were able to see many breaches! Would strongly recommend!

We just did the whale watching cruise yesterday. It was a great experience, saw lots of whales and got some good photographs. The catamaran was a beautiful boat and the crew very friendly. The drinks were cold and food unending and good. The crew was always ready to help and even cleaned my sunglasses for me.

We had a wonderful time on our whale watch! The captain and crew of the Alli Nui were fun, warm, and knowledgable. The hospitality was wonderful and even included cleaning your sunglasses. We saw whales everywhere and also enjoyed listening to the sound of them beneath the water through a special hydrophone.
Their service is so outstanding and was best exemplified by a late night delivery to the Andaz wiith my bag that I left on the boat to accomodate our early morning flight the next day. Amazing and so appreciated!
Don't hesitate to book the Alli Nui, it was great!

Best whale watching trip I’ve ever been on! The catamaran is well laid out with lots of room to move around. The crew couldn’t have been better…the photographer even showed me how to use my camera. Good food, too. Plus the captain found us tons of whales while still being respectful of their space. We liked it so much we signed up for their sunset sail!
