I recently took a day trip from Brussels to Amsterdam, and overall, it was a great experience. The journey was well-organized, and the guide was knowledgeable and friendly. However, there are a few areas where improvements could be made. Firstly, the traffic was quite heavy, which made the trip longer than expected. While this is somewhat out of the tour operator’s control, it would have been helpful to have more information about potential delays. Secondly, the tour did not include some of the main landmarks in Amsterdam, which was a bit disappointing. I was hoping to see more of the iconic sights. Lastly, the policy of no eating on the bus should be clearly stated before booking, especially for parents travelling with children. It was challenging to manage with the long traffic jams and no snacks allowed on board. Despite these issues, the trip was enjoyable, and I would recommend it with the hope that these points are addressed in the future.

We met our tour guide in a very easy to find location. They constantly checked our groups names at different stages of the tour to make sure we weren’t missing anyone! Our tour guide was called Pablo who was very informative, humorous and attentive. He spoke both English and Spanish very well. Upon arriving in Amsterdam, we were surprised with a boat trip on the canals which was lovely and lasted one hour. This included Pablo speaking to us in both languages so that all could understand. We learnt lots of new things and had lots of recommendations on what to do in our 3 hours of free time in the city. Lots of history was explained to us as well as what the city is like now and why it is the way it is. Overall very good experience!

We will meet the group at Carrefour de l'Europe at 8:00AM. From there, we will depart for our destination, Amsterdam, on a bus trip that will take about 3 hours.

Amsterdam

Once we arrive in Amsterdam, we will have a short stop to regain our strength and start our boat trip with a tour guide who will show us the main points of the city: the Jordaan district, the 9 Streets or the Amsterdam Central Station. During the boat trip, we will also enjoy the wonderful architecture that the city has to offer. After this boat tour, you will have 4 hours free time to visit the city on your own.

After free time, at 5:00PM, the bus will depart back to Brussels after an exciting day in Amsterdam.
