We really enjoyed our tour of Ayutthaya and our guide Oddy was so enthusiastic, sharing her knowledge of Buddhism and Thai culture. The ruins were so amazing to see and the boat ride around Ayutthaya was a highlight; seeing how people live on the river is a sight for the senses, from mansions to shacks, it was so interesting. Bang Pa In Summer Palace was so tranquil and pristine and pretty to stroll around the grounds. Unfortunately, due to low numbers the river cruise back to Bangkok could not be included in our tour, but Oddy did her best to make up for it by showing us so many different places. She even bought us some yummy Thai snacks. My only negative was that each temple was basically the same and it was so incredibly hot that it made it a challenge to be engaged when we just wanted to collapse into the van in the air con.

Good guide, interesting sites and an excellent lunch made our day. We were taken to 5 sites including the Summer Palace and each had a story of its own.

I booked with In Viaggi the one day tour to Ayutthaya several months ahead, the conditions state very clearly that pick up/ drop off location would be my hotel, at that time I provided my accommodation details ( a hotel downtown, very centric nearby Lumphini park).
Everything was fine until the day before when suddenly I get a message saying that my hotel was inconvenient to pick up and I had to go by myself to a different location... I am new to the city plus that doesn't appear nowhere in the conditions.
I had to call to 3 different numbers, one Skype and several text messages to contact them back.
They said my hotel had no parking space... But it does , I even sent them a photo y also asked at my hotel about picking up / dropping off passengers in their parking and they said there was no problem.
I even offered myself to be at 7 00 AM sharp at the entrance of my hotel.
When I contacted them back with this information for a while they played as if they didn't read my messages and then at 11pm they decided to cancel my booking. After that they even sent me a message laughing and mocking me... :_(
So now my dream of years to see the Buddha head in the tree... Won't happen because of this company.

<p>Had a great time visiting the ruins and the summer palace. Also a great journey along the river to snap photos of beautiful buildings and bridges from a different angle.</p>

<p>Not worth the money.<br/>
We only really wanted to do the historical area and this in the end only stopped there for 30 mins. Was way more focus on the summer palace and then the swanky river boat journey back to Bangkok.<br/>
Viator needs a tour that just does to the historical site.</p>
