    We had the best time with Captain Lex! He took us on a smooth boat ride, told entertaining stories, and found us exquisite places to snorkel. Since none of us were super experienced at snorkeling, he kindly gave us the do's and don'ts as well as helpful tips that made us feel like experts! It was a highlight of our trip! Thank you!

    great fun for the 10 of us, would have been 5 stars except there was no snorkel equipment or blue tooth speaker as advertised. Tony was great instructor.

    Octopus Donut Boats are GARBAGE, and the company itself has ZERO integrity. Had a 10 person donut boat reserved for a special experience to celebrate a friend’s 40th. But 3 days before our rental the company emailed saying they had to push back our 11am start time to 12pm due to “equipment difficulties “. Interesting choice of words 3 days before our rental. I didn’t realize itvwas possible to predict “equipment difficulties “ with such accuracy, as you will soon hear. So the day of our rental we checked in at 1140am for the now 12pm departure for our 3 hr experience. Unfortunately our Donut Boat didn’t arrive until 1230pm because according to Tony (the Octopus employee in charge of the donut boat), he said he was out late the night before and running late for work. Then, while providing on-board instructions on the rules of the waters and how to use the boat, the motor died. As a result we started drifting further and further out past the outer marker buoys they didn’t want us to go past. A small dingy arrived with another Octopus employee, but after 15 more minutes of them NOT being able to keep the motor running and it now being almost 1pm, I asked to be towed back to shore so we could get off the boat and get refuned our money. Upon reaching the beach the Octopus employees said they’d already called their home office and told them abouty Donut Boats “equipment difficulties” and I would be getting a full refund. Next I was asked to call their office, which I did. Then asked to email a description of my experience to them and I would be immediately refunded. So i sent the email. It’s now been 3 days since Octopus failed to provide me with a refund, they’ve stopped responding to my emails altogether, and when someone at their office answers the phone all they tell me is they need management approval from RICARDO to give me my refund. But as of now, some 84 hrs after their boat broke, I haven’t received ant refins whatsoever. So I very strongly suggest you avoid Octopus altogether and use one of the many other more reputable companies for water activities in Aruba.

Reefs and sunken wrecks nearby afford excellent diving in Aruba. Malmok Beach is also the name of a residential area with sprawling homes and a variety of modest windsurfing residences in Aruba. The main road through the Malmok Beach area is leading to the famous California Lighthouse, Tierra del Sol 18-hole golf course, Arashi Beach and other Aruba landmarks and activities. During early morning and late afternoon hours the Malmok Beach road is a popular venue in Aruba for outdoor activities.     Boca Catalina on Aruba is a small, secluded bay in Malmok beach. The white sandy beach is accessible via stairs or of course with your own Aqua Donut Boat. A popular stop for snorkeling tours because of the variety of sea life located here, including palometas swimming near the shores, trunkfish and sergeant majors. When you venture a bit deeper into the sea you will see some big colorful fishes and corals, and don’t be surprised if you spot a turtle at Boca Catalina swimming in front of you. The crystal clear and calm water makes this the perfect location to make your private dive from your Aqua Donut Boat. Boca Catalina is a popular beach and attracts a fun mix of local families and tourists, especially during weekends. From the starting point without any stops, Boca Catalina can be reached in 30 minutes.

    Powder soft white sand, superb snorkeling in peaceful water and turtles! Do you need anything else? One of the northernmost beaches on the island. Most days the sea is very calm. The lagoon is safe to snorkel, not that deep. You will find colorful tropical fish like French Angelfish and Blue Striped Snappers. Also some hard corals, and plenty of soft corals, sea fans. The reef is the nicest on the right side of the beach, approx. 200 meters from shore. This area is recommended for advanced snorkelers. It could be difficult to navigate between the corals in the relatively shallow water, and swim back to the shore if there is any current. Turtles can be spotted on the left side of the bay, search for sea grass patches! From the starting point without any stops, Arashi can be reached in 45 minutes.
