The Atlas Mountains are absolutely worth the visit while in Morocco. If you want an outdoorsy experience without having to travel far from Marrakech, then this would be the perfect day trip. The area was beautiful, peaceful, and serene. Brahim was an informative guide during the hike, while also being flexible, patient, and encouraging to all fitness levels. Highly recommend! This may have been one of my favorite parts of my Morocco trip!

Amazing day hiking adventure to the Atlas Mountains from Marrakech. A must do for anyone visiting the area.
The guide was amazing, very experienced local guide who took us to the most amazing hike up to a peak outside of Imlil.
He tailored the hike based on what we wanted and his judgment of abilities. And he got it perfect.
Great lunch on top of the hill.

My husband and I decided to do a summit hike in the Atlas Mountains. We were paired with Mohamed and I couldn’t be happier. From the start he was very clear about how long the hike would take and what we would see. The pace was perfect for our abilities (early 30s with hiking experience). Mohamed pointed out landmarks along the trail and even took photos for us. The lunch was the best mountain meal I’ve had and there was an abundance to go around. We made good time so we were able to make an extra stop at the waterfall. Before arriving, Mohamed invited us to his home where we had mint tea and homemade cookies on the terrace that overlooked the village and mountains.
You can tell that Mohamed is experienced with his trekking and guidance. We were able to hear many stories of his treks. I would recommend Mohamed as a guide and also a friend. Thanks so much for the great day!

Our day hiking with Brahim was one of our most memorable experiences of our holiday. He collected our family of 5 from our Riad to drive us in comfort to Imlil, in the Atlas Mountains, stopping along the way at a beautiful viewpoint. The hike was moderate and Brahim was quick to assess our abilities as we climbed the steeper paths. It was so beautiful and chatting with Brahim along the way was easy and fun. He had so much knowledge of the area, and it was with perfect timing we reached our picnic area where our food had arrived before us with his colleague and a mule. The picnic was amazing, and we enjoyed resting on the high mountain overlooking the villages below, and snow capped mountains above. The hike down after lunch was perfect, and we arrived back in Imlil to the waterfalls and fresh orange juice at a cafe. Then driving us back to our Riad in Marrakech, gifting us more oranges on the way!
Brahim was so inviting of us into his community. We appreciated so much his good humour, friendly manner and knowledge of the area and culture where he had grown up and most recently suffered the effects of the earthquake last year.
I would recommend this day 100%, an experience we will remember always. Thank you!
