During the Madeira Surf Lessons, you can anticipate an exciting and immersive experience as you learn to ride the waves. The surf lessons are conducted on the picturesque volcanic sand beaches located in the north-eastern, south-eastern, or north-coast part of the island. Regardless of your skill level, the classes are designed to be accessible and suitable for everyone. The surf lessons include a theoretical session and a 15-minute warm-up to get you ready for the water. You'll then have 1 hour and 30 minutes to 2 hours of practice, guided by certified surf coaches from the Portuguese Surf Federation FPS and the Portuguese Sport and Youth Institute IPDJ. All the necessary equipment, such as surfboards, wetsuits, and leashes, will be provided. Additionally, insurance coverage ensures your safety throughout the experience.

If you require transportation to the surf lesson, please inform the school in advance. Pick-up and drop-off services are available in Funchal, Caniço, and Santa Cruz areas for an additional fee.
