What to expect
Memorial and Museum Auschwitz I
Our excursion begins at Auschwitz I and takes you through the former camp, which is now a museum. Through photos and the original barracks, we will tell you the story from the first deportations to the liberation on January 27, 1945. 80 minutes - transfer from Krakow to Oświęcim 15 minutes - restroom break / entry 150 minutes - visit to Auschwitz I
Memorial and Museum Auschwitz II-Birkenau
After a short break, we’ll take the bus to the Judenrampe, the spot between Auschwitz I and Birkenau where trains arrived, and people were selected. From there, we walk the same route as those who were taken to Birkenau. At Birkenau, we’ll visit the wooden barracks that give a clear view of the living conditions during the war years. We’ll walk past the train station toward the remains of gas chambers II and III. Afterward, we’ll visit the Dutch monument. Then, we’ll return to the gate and make a brief stop at the bookstore. 30 minutes - transfer from Auschwitz I to Birkenau and break 90 minutes - visit to Auschwitz II-Birkenau 30 minutes - visit to the Judenrampe
Memoriale Auschwitz III (Monowitz)
After a short break, we will take the bus to Monowitz (Auschwitz III) and the Buna works. Upon arrival, we’ll tell you all about the immense factory complex established by the Nazis and the Monowitz camp they founded. Although the barracks are no longer visible, you will still see the factories and some remnants of bunkers that remain standing. Monowitz was the most grueling camp to work in, located about 10 kilometers from Auschwitz I. We will conclude the excursion at the impressive Monowitz monument. 45 minutes - transfer and visit to Auschwitz III-Monowitz 90 minutes - transfer from Monowitz to Krakow
