The workshop comes with exquisite pottery hand-crafted by Master Taku and carefully selected materials so you can learn the essence of Wabi-Sabi. The vessel has been soaked in rustic lacquer to have a secular enhancement (Sabi-feeling). Master Taku teaches you the process of authentic Kintsugi technique with real Urushi lacquer and pure gold powder. Let's create imperfect beauty (Wabi) with Kintsugi. You can take it home on the day! Three Options: A: Shuurushi kannyuzome kintsugi. - Kintsugi with real natural lacquer and pure gold. (110mins) B: Lightning in the Dark Shikkokurai. - Kintsugi with real natural lacquer and pure gold. Natural lacquer and chemical resin are used in combination. (90mins) C: You can easily experience "Yobitugi", the highest technique among Kintsugi techniques. It is to attach different decorations and materials to the missing parts. (90mins) Who is Taku Nakano? He is a unique ceramist running pottery classes at his Omotesando Studio in Tokyo, which is known as the epicenter of fashion.
