The tour was really wonderful. We went to a small village in the Backwaters where we took a traditional, unelectrisized boot to discover the lake there. The backwaters are very beautiful and calming! You come along some housings ...very exciting.
After the tour we had a very, very tasty delicious lunch!!!
We also went in very small boat through a small canal. Also amazingly beautiful.
We also got a demonstration on traditional rope and bananamats making. Everything was really perfect and we enjoyed every second!

Excellent tour of the backwaters in a traditional canopied boat. Followed by a tour of the smaller canals in an open boat. Great lunch. Very friendly and helpful guide/hosts. Lovely experience, highly recommended.

The trip was excellent with authentic experience of the backwater. It was a very serene and beautiful experience. The food was also awesome.

This was a great and incredibly relaxing tour of the backwaters. We were picked up directly from our hotel and had a 40 min cruise on the water, then an incredible homemade lunch and watched locals fishing and processing mussels and more. What I especially love is that all of the money goes to the local community and it is a communal effort from their side.

Wonderful trip in the backwaters, the nature at it's best, lots of birds, trees and exploring the village life. Suresh and his small organisation (Ethnic Voyage) did a wonderful work for our friends. We selected Suresh and his team's backwater cruise for his eco-friendly practices, his activities in the backwaters have been selected by the responsible tourism project of Kerala Govt. He and his team were very accomodative to the needs of our friends, He's a wonderful guide who is also a true ambassador of his village community in Vaikom Backwater village. The friends enjoyed the delicious home made food prepared by Suresh and his wife for the visitors which was medium spicy, they provided clean drinking water. We were picked up and dropped back by Suresh's partner Sreekumar from our hotel in Cochin to the backwater and back in a very comfortable car. Sreekumar's driving was excellent, and he's very kind to stop on the way whenever needed to take a photo or a tea break. It was a wonderful day for all in the company of these beautiful people who really took care of us. Thank you for giving us a 5 star service.

Backwater cruise in non mechanised covered traditioal Boat (kettu vallam) and open canoe cruise through the narrow canals, village visit, fresh water muscles processing, coir making, coconut leaf weaving and the intraction with local local village people. Traditional veg. Lunch at the village house , evening tea and snacks are provided. Experienced english speaking guide will be explaining the specilities of backwaters, flora and fauna of this area.
