We had a fantastic day with Wendy. She is very knowledgeable regarding the area as she has been there her entire life.
She was waiting for us when we got off the ship and we promptly traveled to Rotorua and the Te Pa Tu Experience and Haka dance. Her vehicle is very comfortable and she even has it set up with a speaker system, so that everyone could hear her informative/educational commentary. She had scheduled a tour to see Kiwis and thermal geysers in such a way that we were ahead of the crowds. She is clearly a professional tour guide. We also toured the redwood forest which was beautiful and interesting. We would highly recommend her to anyone who is interested in learning about the Maori people and the areas around Tauranga and Rotorua. Thank you, Wendy.

We are glad we booked this private tour. The Wai O Tapu geothermal features are quite spectacular. Our driver Don went above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience. We saw some amazing views on our way there. For example, he stopped by the McLaren Falls where we took a short walk through a lovely fern forest to see the waterfall. We were never rushed at the sites.
All in all we had a delightful time. Thanks Don.

We came for the Lady Knox 10am then did the wonderland hikoi which is amazing and I would highly recommend. Please put toilets at the Lady Knox carpark - there were literally hundreds of people yesterday many like us had driven from Rotorua. I would think it would be a basic requirement for a tourist attraction?

Meet me on the grassy area opposite the exit gates, near the flag pole. I will have a sign with your name on it. Follow the pathway from the ship through the information tent and to the exit gate (there is only ONE exit gate).

As we depart the Port we will drive along Pilot Bay and past Mount Maunganui. Hear the Maori legend and learn the meaning of the name. Marvel at the stunning white sand beach where we can stop for beautiful photos.
