The vibe, the place and everyone there is chill, friendly and uplifting. Momo (Discovery Kite) has a great team in place was always there to make sure everything was going great.
Osama was an amazing instructor, helped me progress and was very patient. Funny and humble, made the course even more enjoyable. The thing I appreciated the most was the emphasis & time he gave to focusing on safety and kiting safe.
Makani is perfectly setup, from services, facilities, equipment and staff made the stay hassle free.
A great experience in a relaxing place with some amazing people and learnt something new!

I took classes to learn how to kitesurf and was very quickly able to do thanks to Ahmed amazing advices !
Thanks a lot Momo & Ahmed for this very quick and efficient training !! The spot and infrastructure at Makani are amazing. Perfect for beginners like me but also for very expérimented kitesurfers (Ahmed is #1 in Egypt, just that…!!).
And everyone is so kind and just enjoy seeing you succeeding and having fun.
They also have relations with amazing hotels like Three Corners which is a great plus (ask Discovery kite for discount codes).

It was a complete rip-off of money. The owner Momo had no idea what his teachers are doing. The teachers as well as the rental were pretty unprofessional. They don’t care if you know the safety rules. While you pay the lesson, you’re teacher might be kiting for fun while you wait freezing in the water - instead of just bringing the kite back. No helmet, no life jacket, no walkie-talkie. One of the teachers wasn’t even licensed to teach, which is illegal, I think. On the beach, they tell you to pack the kite (for the first time) and just disappear in the middle of a crowded beach. Of course kite-lessons are not cheap but for that money you expect at least a normal service. You‘re much better off at a professional kite-school (which I did next, so I saw the difference). The responsibility for rental (so, also partly for you‘re safety in the water) was by a 17-year old Egyptian who pretended he spoke English. Sometimes you had to wait for an hour or even half day for renting gear. And even if they give you the completely wrong gear and you mess up for half an hour, they make you pay a whole day! I hope they don’t put more people in danger just to take your money to an Polish (!) account. So I’m not even sure if there business is legal or maybe just nobody cares. All in all a really bad experience with a loss of a lot of money and dangerous situations in the water. PS: If you’re a woman, be aware of Momos wife. Every time I tried to speak to her (because I tried to be nice) she just walked away - really rude.
