Come spend a day forging out a chef knife and go home with your very own hand-forged chef knife. Made from high carbon steel with a Japanese wa handle. In this class, which is suitable for beginners, you will experience shaping your own knife with hammer and fire, as well as learn a bit about the forge, anvil, tools and techniques used in blacksmithing. In this workshop, we will forge out your own chef knife, heat-treat it yourself, grind it to shape and attach a pre-made Japanese wa handle.
