What to expect
R. de Rei Ramiro 262
In this cellar the visiting space coalesces with the work space. You will find a producer cellar, alive, where you will be welcomed in a familiar environment by those who work at Nicolau de Almeida, despite tourist clothing. We opened the doors of the house in Gaia and talked about the vineyard, the wine and life! The visit begins with an introduction to history. We tell how we worked the vineyards at Quinta do Monte Xisto. How we vinify and age the wines and how they reach their final destination, the bottle, which we label one by one. Finally we end with the taste of 5 wines: 2 DOC Douro red wines, 2 DOC Porto wines, 1 Minho white wine. Added also the taste of olive oil and roasted almonds.
The experience can be subject to change due to bad weather or unforseen circumstances. We always endeavour to give you the best possible experience.
