French Quarter

One of Charleston's oldest neighborhoods, the French Quarter is home to some of our most historical homes, churches, graveyards, and alleyways.

Philadelphia Alley

Philadelphia Alley, also known as Duelers Alley, is one of the most intriguing locations in all of Charleston. While charming in the daytime, at night, this hidden charm has a completely different personality. The hidden walkway attracts curious visitors strolling the streets of downtown, but in earlier years, it bustled with livestock, scholars, congregants, and thieves.

Not fun, lame tour guide, was skeptical from pics and we were indeed disappointed. We did the dungeon tour and a lot of stuff was poorly displayed. Piss poor looking mannikins. The tour guide tried to make it fun, but just made it lame because he sucked. Maybe others were entertained, but we were bored out of our minds and actually left early without finishing the rest of the tour. would have left zero out of five stars but the website won’t allow zero stars for a review

We liked the history and information as well as entry to the dungeon. But too much corny stories and more history next time!

Really fun tour to do post dinner especially for tweens and teens since 5here is not that much to do in Charleston at night . Our guide was Katlyn and she was fun, the check in process super easy , located in very touristy easy area .

Excellent tour and another way to learn about the history of Charleston. It was fascinating and eerie, but not frightening. Dave, our tour guide, was knowledgeable and informative, with a great sense of humor. Great tour for adults, teens, and tweens!

The Bulldogs Ghost and Dungeon tour was interesting and we enjoyed the dad jokes from Our guide, It made it fun. We ended up with a $20 bouquet of roses that were thrown off a building. Lovers spat or angry ghost? I’ll Never tell. The Dungeon was also very neat yet warmer than expected (if it’s winter wear layers, if it’s summer bring a fan). Perfect start to our honeymoon in Charleston.

Dave was funny and very informative. Was willing to answer all of our questions, even with a sense of humor.

The trip inside the dungeon is the reason to do this “ghost” trip. Otherwise it was a walking history tour. No cemeteries or other creepiness on this tour. It did not last 90 minutes, more like 60-75. Our guide was a native of Charleston and she was attentive to our group of about 16, making sure no one got lost or was left out.

This tour was more historical than ghost stories but well worth it. Our guide Angie was engaging and answered all questions!

Traipse thru the neighborhood and hear some “ghost stories” along the way. The dungeon itself has a set up with wax figures (meant to depict history/be creepy?) no jump scares but maybe there should be. Some storylines are told, I didn’t feel anything haunted - the EMF reader was a nice touch, it was Halloween.

Very glad we booked this highly rated tour AND we had a smaller group DURING a full moon! The Yeats (Yates?) was an awesome guide and knew quite a bit being a history student, I beleve? Really appreciated going inside the Provost Dungeon, very creepy and very sad history, blows my mind what still stands today and what has been destroyed or covered up by "progress". I prefer haunted historic facts vs BS you can find on a lot of tours... also enjoyed the photos Yeats shared with us. Highly enjoyable AND recommended!
