    This was a fun bus tour. You can bring your own alcohol beverages with you. The tour guide is funny. You get to see alot of the downtown areas of Charlotte. There is a midwoy stop at a brewery for bathroom break. There’s a store next to it in case you need more beverages.

    Educational; I learned new facts about the city of Charlotte while riding on the trolley. Just what we needed and the staff was very welcoming and uplifting/fun to engage with. I would recommend this if you don't know where to start in Charlotte. It's a good way to learn the city.

    Enjoyed our trip on the bus and Tim and Ken were great. We laughed and had a really fun time. I’d recommend it highly! Learned about the history and saw some neat blogs.

    First, I am scratching my head about why this open-air bus is not outfitted with fans to keep riders comfortable. Hot southern summers are pretty punishing. Affixing a few fans inside would make the heat so much easier to tolerate. During stops (and there were many due to congestion), we sweltered miserably. My chilled beverage quickly succumbed, too. On the other hand, the comedic factor left me a bit cold. I am not a prude and understood this was an R-rated tour. But it takes so much more than a heavy reliance on potty humor, crude language, sexual vulgarities, etc. to be truly funny. While a few zingers hit their mark and garnered giggles, the material largely landed flat. Blaring music to mask the lull made it seem even more awkward. Having a single person carry the onus to please a crowd really made this tour one-dimensional in scope. Basically, this is a one-person stand-up improv show on wheels with everything riding on one comedian's shoulders. (I understand there are other people who lead these tours, so I can only speak to the tour I experienced.) Having taken the La Zoom tour in Asheville, I expected something along those lines - a more scripted undertaking with a variety of character actors hopping on and off the bus at key points to hilariously introduce us to city history. Charlotte Funny Bus should take a few pointers from other such tours. A few tweaks for rider comfort, utilizing a team of actors/comedians, and a more scripted effort could really ratchet up the funny factor and deliver the kind of tour Charlotte deserves.

You can bring your own beer or wine, and there’s a quick break at a local bodega for more beverages or to use the restroom. Your tour guide is a local comedian and puts a comedic spin on the sights, sounds, and history as we explore all four wards of the Queen City and some of the cool-hip neighborhoods surrounding the city (South-End, NoDa, Plaza Midwood, Plaza Hills, and Historic Fourth Ward.) Please note: Due to the mature nature of the jokes on the bus, this tour is intended for adults only. Those under 16 are prohibited, and no babies or small children are allowed on the bus. If tickets are purchased for children, they will not be allowed to board, and no refund will be issued.
