In this activity, you will learn the two basic procedures for making most cheeses around the world, acid and rennet coagulation, and be encouraged to continue experimenting with cheese recipes at home. The workshop takes place in a food design studio where you will make two types of fresh cheese, one coagulated with rennet and the other with acid. After completing the acid coagulated cheese, you can even experiment with herbs and colors to personalize your creation. The experience also includes a cheese tasting session with homemade cheeses and a drink to complement the flavors. Participants will have the opportunity to take home their two cheeses, basic tools, and receive recipes via email to continue their cheesemaking journey at home. What to expect
Bellamystraat 8
You will learn how to make your own cheese in a food design studio in Amsterdam. You will make two types of fresh cheese, first one coagulated with rennet and then one coagulated with acid. When finishing their acid coagulated cheese, participants are encouraged to experiment with herbs and colours. There is then a tasting with home made cheeses and a drink to finish up. Participants may take with them their two cheeses and the basic tools and receive recipes (via email) in order to continue experimenting with cheesemaking at home. It's a beautiful experience, the discovery of a craft and an open door into a whole new world possibilities. To be empowered make and create your own cheese at home.
