My 11 & 13 year olds voted for this activity while in Florence and we are so glad we did it. A quick 15 min walk from the center of Florence and well worth it. We learned how to make 3 kinds of pasta, sauces and dessert. There were about 40 pp in total but was broken down into groups of 10-12 working in two stations. We had a group of 5 at our station which was perfect. The chef demonstrated and was very patient. He helped my 11 year old who was having a little trouble with the pasta machine. They also managed to alter the menu for my lactose intolerant kid. The food was delicious and it was fun to try all the different pastas. Don’t come starving as it does take some time to cook everything. We starting eating around 7:20pm and ended around 8:20pm.

My 20 year old son and I had a really fun evening. The instructor and assistants were all very friendly and knowledgeable. Resulting food was delicious. However I feel that they should have far fewer in a class. We had 24 people split between 4 prep tables. When gathered around one table for the demonstration it was very difficult to see. Though efforts were made to include everyone, the tasks were menial, such as pouring a bowl of tomatoes into a pot or stirring. 90% of the time we just stood there, which was still very enjoyable just not active and a little boring at times (and wine doesn't come until the dinner is served at the end!). The most intense (and fun) was each of us making our own pasta dough and later the pasta itself, although we shared one big tube of filling for the ravioli and one person at our table only had enough to make one ravioli by the time it was her turn to use it! As long as you're not looking for an intense cooking experience you'll enjoy it. I am often a solo traveler, and although I usually love this sort of thing to he around people, I would not recommend this particular class for solo travelers just because there is a lot of down time and I think it would be awkward standing alone.

The experience seemed a little unorganized from the start but once they got the groups settled and separated it got better. About 50 people in two groups… doing different experiences— would suggest numbering tables and assigning seating vs having groups figure out where to sit their various size parties amongst limited seating. Some people had to move seats more then once to allow families or other parties to sit together. Our group was around 30 people over 4 tables— tighter than we expected. Experience was great. Very informative and we make gnocchi, pana cotta, ravioli and fettuccine. Was told one wine bottle every 4 people— we had 5 but still only one bottle But could by one for $10— seemed a little ridiculous for what we had already paid. Yet other tables of 3 had one bottle for themselves. Pasta class taught us how easy it is to make pasta and we’ll make it at home for sure and you leave with all the recipes. Would do if again if different classes weee offered

Absolutely amazing!! We made 3 pastas, 2 sauces, and a dessert. We met new friends and enjoyed every step of the process. It was extremely well organized and we recommend it to anyone visiting Florence!

Our family of 5, joined by a family friends, had a fun evening learning how to cook a few delicious dishes in Florence. We had our own chef, teaching us how to make each dish. We made fresh pasta, Spinach and Ricotta ravioli, gnocchi, two different sauces and panna cotta. Everyone in our group made our own dough for fresh pasta, sfuff and cut a few ravioli, and we all had opportunities to chop up ingredients for the sauces. Everything was delicious. Recipes were given out at the end of the evening. It was a fun and memorable evening in Florence.

We did this for our last night in Florence and we are so glad we did! It was a lot of fun, the staff were really pleasant, and our instructor was really sweet, funny, and taught us some cool new things. We made 3 different pastas, and panna cotta for dessert. The food came out delicious and we got the recipes to make at home. 100% recommend .
