What to expect
Atins
Departure from Barreirinhas in a 4×4 vehicle that will take us to one of the ferries to cross the river Preguiças that gives access to the Lençóis Maranhenses National Park (PNLM). The hard trail route around 1:30 am, we'll pass by Atins beach and see where the Preguiças River meets the Atlantic Ocean. We then drive 15 minutes to Canto do Atins, the starting point for our 15-minute walk (approximately) to Lagoa da Tempo, stop for a bath and rest. At the return we continue to the Restaurant (Optional: Sra. Luzia or Sr. Antônio). After lunch (not included) rest in hammocks and free time to enjoy the region. Arrival in the city at 5 pm.
