It is little more expensive but who wants to be on the local train with hord of tourist and locals.CAT is always almost empty and u dont have to deal with anybody especially after long transatlantic flight.

It is a COMPLETE rip-off! For over 14 euros you can travel the minutes and back. Or you can opt for the OTT train, where you pay a little over 5 euros for the return trip which takes the same amount of time!

The motto of the cat is 16 min non stop.. well it never takes 16 min. Takes the same time of the normal train which costs 4 times more! (Öbb: 4:40€, cat: 15€). And what gives you? Nothing. Or even less. Often electric plugs and wifi does not work. Your 16 min non stop journey starts with a stop few min after the start at wien mitte.

27Nov2023. Travelled from the city to the airport. Train was easy to find in the train station, left on-time and dropped off on-time. This train, which is non-stop from the city to the airport, was clean and the ride was smooth. The city subway train from my hotel to the main train station was delayed, so if I had taken the city subway to the airport, I may not have arrived in time for my flight check-in. Overall, a pleasant experience.

This was an easy access from the airport to the city centre. Very convenient a it was just a short taxi rid to my hotel.

Horrible trap to catch your money! As you arrive to the airport is full of vending machines and people selling these tickets. We made the mistake to buy those tickets realizing only after that is was not going to the city center where we need to go without paying extra money for extra tram/metro on top of an already expensive ticket. We asked the people of the company and they said it was possibile to refound the tickets as this happends often. Result we had to call their customer service and it is not possible! So it burns 2 times now

CAT is an airport express train between the Airport and Wien Mitte Station with departures every 30 minutes. Tickets cost (Single €14.90, Return €24.90 per adult). You can book tickets in advance online, at the many self-service ticketing machines within the airport luggage retrieval area as well as outside the CAT platform. Train ride is a short 16 minutes, seats are comfortable for a short ride. There is free wifi onboard. They keep the train cars are rather warm inside. In the end, rides are pricier than bus or OBB trains into the city but they are fairly frequent, predictable and a fast way into the city centre.

After a not so good flight with Ryanair it was nice to travel on something that was clean, on time and fast. My 3 year old loving spotting all the signs from the airport for "the green train" as she called it and it was very easy to find and board. I had already booked tickets online as wanted to include subway tickets and that was very easy to use We were in the city in no time

Vienna is a great city and they make it so easy to get from the airport. The train platform is easy to find in the airport. It is quick, comfortable and clean.
