Capt Philips was informative and entertaining. The atmosphere was casual and relaxing. The beverage and snack area seemed well stocked (though we didn't have much as we just had a big dinner and dessert before we boarded). It was a bit chilly but not too cold. It was just overall a great experience as we also caught glimpses of dolphins as well as many sea lions.

Captain Philip is a truly gracious host aboard his beautiful classic yacht. Very warm and genuinely enjoys what he does. He tooks us around to see all the naval ships at our request and out under the Coronado bridge. An unforgettable afternoon aboard the Liberty. Throughly recommended!!!

LOOK FOR THEIR OWN WEBSITE! TripAdvisor takes a percentage of their revenue so look up their own website when booking. That being said, Captain Philip is awesome! We had crummy clouds blocking the sunset but it was still such an amazing trip. We learned all about the boat and Philip’s history as a captain. The couple we were on the boat with were delightful and all three of them make for an unforgettable experience. We will wholeheartedly recommend Captain Phil to anyone looking for a sunset cruise while in SD.

My favorite activity in San Diego. Small group experience with a knowledgeable and skilled captain. Saw so much of the harbor up close and learned so much about the various ships and boats. Captain Phil was very personable and entertaining. An all around great experience.

This experience was the best I had with my friends in San Diego harbor. Captain Phillips is a great guy. The sunset tour we went on included alcohol and nonalcoholic beverages plus a variety of snacks. Also if anyone is wondering there is a toilet onboard. Additionally, there is a bluetooth speaker to play your own tunes. We definitely enjoyed our evening and would recommend it for a fun intimate adventure.

Day of the trip I had checked the weather and noticed it was going to be cloudy and cold. The team was kind and understanding and offered to reschedule or a refund. It was not something they had to do per their policy but was out of the goodness of their heart. When I come back to San Diego I will definitely book this sunset tour.

I am not a big reviewer, but this sail was the highlight of my San Diego trip! The boat was uniquely beautiful and really well-maintained and it turns out the captain is also the owner and does all the work himself (along with his wife and son). I loved the military ships and the wildlife and the sunset was spectacular. Captain was super chill and I enjoyed talking with the three other guests. Anyway, had to give a review. Highly recommend!

I would love to rate this higher because sailing on a beautiful boat in the San Diego Harbor on a lovely day should only be wonderful. However when your captain chooses not to tell you anything about the boat, sailing, San Diego, etc. it makes 3 hours seem like 6. Thankfully the other two participants were lovely and the 4 of us were able to chit chat. Even when asked questions we got 2 word answers. I’m not sure if captain was having a bad day or what, but I learned nothing from his lifetime career of sailing in San Diego. I also was very disappointed as the sun begin to set and our boat was situated behind navel air craft carriers. There was no reason given why we didn’t get to see the sunset on a sunset sailing experience.
