    First time doing a wild rover tour, wish we did the overnight version because it was great! The bus had AC and wifi. The Cliffs of Moher had truly breathtaking views. We got a recommendation from the driver, Darren, on where we could get lunch when we stopped in Ennis Town. We ate at Knox which had some really great chicken wings. We finished the day at the Bunratty Castle, which also has a little historic village and gift shops. Darren shared stories, historical facts, all kinds of information about ireland, and guided us through each part of the day. You get your money's worth with an entire day of travel. Overall it was really great time and well organized, we'll be booking another one first chance we get!

    Ruairi (guide) and Micheal (driver) were an absolute pleasure. These two gentlemen were very personable and informative. I said repeatedly to my family that here is two guys who really love what they do and it showed the entire trip. The Cliffs, Ennis and the castle were great locations, definitely made even better by these two gentlemen. They were professional, yet having the ability to make it feel like this was more than just work for them. We would recommend Wild Rover Tours 100%. We would recommend Ruairi and Micheal equally at 100%. Thanks gentlemen for a great experience.

    Excellent tour, very informative driver/guide. The Cliffs of Moher do not disappoint with many incredible views. I would not go up to the top of O'Brien Tower unless you have extra time; there's a line and you'll want enough time to walk both paths which are absolutely worth it. I booked the tour for the cliffs, but Bunratty Castle was a surprising highlight. The caste guide (forgot name, redhead in a red dress) was charming and informative, and the place is a surprisingly large, real medieval village, with a working blacksmith, many farm animals, super cute Irish wolf hounds, and more.

    Took the Wild Rover tour from Dublin to the Cliffs of Moher, Ennis and Bunratty Castle. It was explained to us that this itinerary is a fairly new profile for Wild Rover and after actually taking the tour, I can say that all three make for a great day. Our Guide was Ruairi and our Driver was Michael. Both love what they do. Ruairi’s knowledge of Irish history was very interesting and entertaining. And Michael is one of the best driver’s I’ve seen, tackling small country roads with that bus. It was a sight to behold, watching him make that left turn in Ennistymon without hitting one of the two buildings on either side of the intersection. Truly amazing. Both Ruairi and Michael are a credit to Wild Rover. I would highly recommend Wild Rover Tours and you would be very lucky to take a Wild Rover Tour and get Ruairi and Michael. There is one recommendation I would make, however. The stop in Ennis could use an extra 30-45 minutes. The restaurant the Guide recommended, Knox’s, while an excellent very traditional Irish establishment, took a little too long delivering food to the tables, making a short walk around town out of the question. Other than that, still a 5 star operation at Wild Rover.

Your guide will provide entry tickets to the award-winning Visitor Centre, where you can take a short rest, enjoy a light snack, and prepare for an unforgettable walk along the Atlantic Ledge. Take in the dramatic cliff-top views, watch for native wildlife, and breathe in the fresh sea air.     Ennis is the first town in Ireland accredited with the prestigious International Purple Flag Award proving Ennis' claim to be the Friendliest Town in Ireland. It is also known as the Boutique Capital of Ireland. Ennis town has long been renowned as a centre of excellence for shopping. There are also old traditional bars to enjoy a light lunch while possibly even enjoying some traditional Irish music. Your tour guide on the day will offer a complimentary 20 minute walking tour of the town. It´s your choice to join in if you wish, but we do feel it is a nice experience to join the group and maybe make a friend! Most people would also choose to have lunch in one of Ennis´ traditional pubs.

    Bunratty Castle & Folk Park

    Dating to 1415 AD, Bunratty is the most complete and authentic medieval castle in Ireland. Built on a Viking trading site from 970 AD, it features tower houses, a raised drawbridge entrance, a murder hole, arrow loops, a basement prison, and secret trapdoors once used against intruders. In 1646, during the Irish Confederate Wars, the castle was held by Sir William Penn, father of Pennsylvania’s founder. He was defeated but spared by Irish forces, making this a site of special interest for American visitors. Next door, the 26-acre Folk Park brings 19th-century Ireland to life with furnished farmhouses, village streets, and traditional shops. Costumed characters, animals, and working exhibits create a truly immersive experience for all ages. Entrance fee included.
