When we first booked the trip and saw it was non-refundable we were even more excited thinking it has to be a great experience. We booked it for my birthday. Unfortunately, this was the only bad Viator experience I have booked in the last decade. When we booked they had >150 reviews and 4.5 stars, so we thought it had to be a good trip. When we arrived we got an overview of the day and they immediately said we would not be going into any of the grottos because of high season (even though it is advertised on listing and is in their itinerary) since the lines are too long. We “went to other grottos”, which just meant that we spent 2 minutes on the outside of various rock formations and he pointed to the light hitting the water, which was so anticlimactic. The skipper who took us around did not seem interested in us in the slightest. He only said about 30 words total to the whole group and seemed annoyed with all of us/ life most of the day which really put the whole experience on a downward trend. He then dropped us off in Capri and no one gave any recommendations of what to do there so we ended up staying at one of the public beaches for the 4 hours we were there (recommend bringing towels, water shoes and an umbrella if possible it was super sunny/ hot and no umbrellas at the public beaches). When he picked us back up we went swimming at a stop for about 15 minutes where we got yelled at for trying to swim to a nearby grotto to actually go inside of it since the tour didn’t take us there. After the 15 minutes was up, he told us to come back into the boat for Prosecco, which is about the only part of the tour that I don’t have notes on. Then he wordlessly drove us back. Highly recommend that you just pay for the ferry to Capri since that’s about all we got out of this experience, except we paid 5x more. It was such a disappointing day. We tried asking for money back for the bad experience and were denied, so I’m here to warn others about giving this tour group your money. If you are in Positano and want a bout tour I HIGHLY recommend the boat tour with BlueStar Boat tours (it goes out of the same dock/beach and we had the BEST day with our skipper Carlo who took us around the Amalfi coast. Although it’s not the same tour it was cheaper and we had a MUCH better time). This company could take some notes.

Couldn’t rate it higher as it was just like a boat transfer to Capri.
A few tips for travellers if you are considering-
1. Having 4 hours on Capri Island is longer than you think. I really wish it was half this time as there’s not much to do on a really hot day. The tiny sections of beach are are overcrowded, you need to taxi to the main centre and again way too crowded.
2. Take sea sick medication if you are even “so-so” on boats. There are no contingency plans by this tour provider (this is not a criticism, just letting customers know to be prepared). The sea here can be choppy & I was unwell and no way to get back unless you take the ferry which is on the other side.

Most memorable was the swimming on the way back from Capri. We swam for about 30 minutes, tops in a cordons off area.
Disappointing trip for what we paid. It was advertised that we would stop at the blue grotto weather permitting. Also if everyone agrees we would wait and be allowed to get in line for the smaller boats.
This was not the case as right from the beginning the organizers said we would not be given the option of waiting in line for the blue Grotto. Our captain also said he has never stopped there during high season. I understand the line etc. But it should be stated in the description of this trip NO blue Grotto stop during high season!! By not saying that it is a misrepresentation of what this trip is.

IF YOU HAVE BOOKED, THEN CANCEL IT! Wish we heed the advice of some reviewers.
We booked many day tours for our European holiday and this was the most dishonest operator.
Having paid AUD $756 for our party of 3, we assumed we would be swimming on the journey to Capri or at least visit the blue Grotto. This did not occur. Guide was under instructions from operator not to. We suspect they are rushing to ferry passengers from Positano to Capri so had no intention of going to the Grotto. We expected to visit the Grotto because it was a beautiful day and the queue was not long. Tour guide did not want to wait (there was 7-8 boats in front of us). He said he will wait max 20 mins but as it turned out he has no intention to do so and departed after 5 mins. He had the nerve to suggest that when we get to Capri we catch the bus and to do so in our own time! It was quite embarrassing for him that we were listening on other guides from surrounding boats explaining to their guests.
If you like to visit the Grotto, this is not a tour for it.. Our guide did not engage.
This is merely a water taxi service that drop you off to Capri (let you wander for 4 hours) and pick you up. Just pay the fast Jet at a fraction of the price.
The tour was advertised for 7-8 hours. We depart Positano at 9am, got to Capri at 10.30am. They have put in a clause that Grotto visit was subject to weather and queue. Even with beautiful weather they have no intention of waiting to let you enjoy it. Best to book with hotel as you are guaranteed to see it. These are scam artists that will never get repeat businesses. Don’t Ruin your Capri visit. You’ve been warned!

What an amazing day we had!
Cassiopea staff were really friendly on the dock. Francesco made our day on the boat. We had so much fun!
The views from the boat were amazing.
Capri was beautiful, but very crowded.
On the way back we had swim in the beautiful turquoise water. Afterwoods some prosecco and music. We also met lovely people from different countries. For us being on the boat was the best thing.
We highly recommend Cassiopeia!

STOP AT THE BLUE GROTTO: The entrance to the "Capri Blue Grotto" costs an extra €18 per person and tickets are purchase and paid directly at its entrance. The tour inside the "Blue Cave" lasts about 5 minutes. Nevertheless, the wait to enter the "Blue Grotto" can be very long: in peak hours in high season, it can last even more than one hour.
