    We have a great day in douro valley. Everything was perfect. The guide Marta was very informative and friendly besides pressing a little bit in the final of the tour for reviews. She deserve but, less preassure was better. We give 5 stars because of the amazing, professional and skillful driver André. He drove us with an impressionant calm and security, smooth in those narrow and dangerous roads. Never seen something like this and we already travell by many countries!! A really profissional of driving. All of us, love this driving and this sympathy, always concerned with the passengers. An incredible experience. Thanks to living tours, Marta and specially to André !!

    A day well spent! Delicious food, interesting history, breathtaking sights, and fun people. Our tour guides, Tiago and Onofre make a great team. Onofre is considerate and very informative. Tiago is not only friendly but a skilled driver. Smooth ride despite tough roads. Accommodating of vegetarian diets and washroom breaks.

    I would recommend. A beautiful day in the Douro valley! I really enjoyed learning about port wines. I was here in August and it’s very hot this time of year. My only complaint is regarding the boat ride on Douro River. The boat our group was on had already been boarded by another group, That group of people occupied all the seats in front that was opened to a breeze, leaving the enclosed in area for our group. The glass was stationary so could not be opened making for a very hot and uncomfortable ride. I, along with several others, chose to stand for the entire ride in order to have a breeze. I did not enjoy the boat on such a hot August day. Luciano was a wonderful guide, and Marlon a great driver.

    Food was okay. Boat was a little older. A super long day with a short wine tasting at the end. Communication on the boat wasn’t that good. Not sure if I would go again. The views were stunning though.

    Carrapatelo Dam is a concrete gravity dam on the Douro, where the river forms the border line between the districts of Porto and Viseu. It is located in the municipalities of Marco de Canaveses, in Porto District, and Cinfães, Viseu District, Portugal. Construction of the dam began in 1964. The dam was completed in 1972.
