What to expect
Cuernavaca
The City of Eternal Spring will be our first stop. There we will take a panoramic walk through the city to know its main monuments. We will enjoy the view of the Cathedral, one of the oldest buildings in the country, part of the set of the First 16th-century monasteries on the slopes of Popocatépetl, declared a World Heritage Site. We will also see the exterior of the Palacio de Cortés, built by order of Hernán Cortés in the years immediately after the conquest of Mexico. Lastly, we will observe the Monument to Morelos, an insurgent military man and a Mexican patriot, who organized and was the architect of the second stage of the Mexican War of Independence.
Taxco
We will continue our tour on the way to Taxco, a colonial city with hundreds of years of history, located on a hill with winding cobblestone streets, cozy squares and a strong imprint of the old world that has managed to survive through the centuries. Here there will be time to have lunch where you want and then we will visit one of the largest churches in Mexico: Santa Prisca, built in 1759 in a New Spanish Baroque style and with stones from the area. Taxco is known worldwide for its silver mines and is one of the oldest mining centers on the continent, with working mines and a culture of metal crafts dating from the time of the Viceroyalty. You will have the opportunity to see and buy silverware in this exclusive place. At the end of the visit we will return to Mexico City.
The experience can be subject to change due to bad weather or unforseen circumstances. We always endeavour to give you the best possible experience.
