Monument 30 years of Victory in World War II, or as it is called by the people of Georgia - the mother is an eternal memory, which welcomes visiting travelers, as well as local residents at the entrance to the sunny city of Marneuli. The monument is presented in the form of a bronze woman who builds behind two children with one sword for two in her hands. Merab Konstantinovich Berdzenishvili - an outstanding sculptor of Soviet times, who created this masterpiece and received the corresponding award for it in 1976. The basic idea is that people remember the cost of winning the war.
Bagratashen - Sadakhlo Border Crossing
Here we cross the border of Georgia and Armenia. Crossing the border usually takes 10-20 minutes.
The forests of Dilijan cover an area of more than 34,000 hectares. For the enrichment of the natural life around Dilijan, the state forest reserve was founded in 1958 to become known as Dilijan National Park later in 2002. Woods cover 94% of the park territory and with around 40 types of trees and 18 types of bushes, being mostly oaks, beeches, hornbeams, maples, elms, willows, etc.
Commemorating a legendary Soviet movie, Monument to the Heroes of the Film Mimino features statues of key characters and provides a great photo op. In the center of town, the memorial depicts three characters standing around a drinking water faucet in conversation. A photo opportunity for film connoisseurs or simply a spot to refill your bottle--either way, bring your camera.
Lined with traditional houses and artisan workshops, Sharambeyan Street takes you hundreds of years back in time. Situated within a national park, the area, popularly known as "Little Switzerland" for its forested hills and picturesque houses made of stone and wood, remains home of many Armenian visual artists, musicians, and filmmakers. Browse through the small shops or check into one of the guesthouses. The street is also home to an art gallery and a museum.
