Imjingak Park represents Korea’s division and longing for reunification. Visitors can see the Mangbaedan Altar, where separated families once prayed, and the Freedom Bridge, which was used by returning POWs after the Korean War.
This tunnel, discovered in 1978, was dug by North Korea and stretches over 1.6 km toward Seoul. Visitors wear hard hats and walk down into the tunnel to witness a striking symbol of inter-Korean tension.
From this observatory, visitors can see across the DMZ into North Korea. Highlights include the North Korean propaganda village and one of the world’s tallest flagpoles.
Tongilchon-gil
Tongilchon is a peaceful farming village near the DMZ, created to support reunification efforts. Visitors can browse local specialties like soybean products and experience daily life under military control.
This scenic suspension bridge is located near Gamaksan Mountain. Visitors enjoy a short hike and panoramic views of lush valleys, making it a popular photo stop for nature lovers.
A peaceful lakeside walking trail featuring a long suspension bridge with picturesque views. It’s an easy and relaxing photo stop, ideal for travelers of all ages.
Aegibong Peace Eco Park
