    Sam was a really nice guy. We booked 5pm tour, when we got Hotel Bamboo around 4:45pm, he was already waiting for us there, and then arranged us to storage bags, using washroom, leading us to the dune. Dune buggy is really a fun and must-have experience in Peru, don’t miss it, it’s absolutely worth you to take time and money to visit Huacachina Oasis. BTW, sitting on the moon evening dune and enjoying the outside music concert, is a really romantic experience.

    My husband and I had an amazing time on this dune buggy ride through the Huacachina oasis. Our driver drifted off of sand dunes and made our buggy ride a real thriller!! We also stopped a few times and went down on the sandboards on our bellies. Going later in the day was great as we got to watch a beautiful sunset as well. Worth the money, so much fun!!

    This was WAY more fun than we expected!! Samael was super helpful and organized, we used him for our wine tour as well. The buggies are fast and had all of us screaming the whole time! The sunset was incredible as well, highly recommended!

    Bumpy ATV ride, beautiful sunset view, thrilling sand surfing experience and finally night time view of Huacachina….Must do trip. Just be careful at sand surfing.

    I cannot find the words to match the amount of fun and excitement I had on this tour!!!! ICA is beautiful in itself. It is bustling with small cars (I forgot the name, I think they call it moto-taxis), all colourful, serving as a backdrop for the desert city. My friend and I initially booked a day tour but thankfully our winery tour guide, Sam, convinced us that the sunset tour would be a much better feat. We opted for it and he could not have been more right. Now guys! Hold on to your seats because this is a wild one LOL!! We got onto our dune buggy, after meeting up at the office, strapped into our seats (get one by the door) and had a ride of our lives!!!!! Our driver and guide took us up and down the sand dunes in a thrilling rush. Our stomach dropped, our hearts pounded, we laughed, we screamed, we had fun LOL! At different intervals the driver stopped at picturesque locations for us to do our personal mini photo shoots. We even sand boarded down a few dunes. It looked intimidating at first and the rush of adrenaline will give rise to fears but our guide gave us a short lesson on how to position ourselves so that we can enjoy the ride and keep safe. The ride ended with a sunset view that somehow gave calm to the thrill and excitement that we previously had. It felt like a reward at the end of a busy trip/day. This tour was definitely one for the books and if I had to visit ICA again, I would definitely find myself here.

    What to expect

    Our excursion starts from the Hotel "La Casa del Bamboo", located in the surroundings of the Huacachina Oasis. Then, our buggy driver will accompany our passengers to a tourist control booth, where our passengers must pay a tourist tax of S/3.60 soles per person. Then we will proceed to climb a small sand dune to board the Buggies and start the tour. Our professional driver will start the desert tour and will make different stops so that our clients can appreciate the landscape, so they can take pictures. Then we will drive our vehicle to the top of a large dune where our instructor guide will show you how to practice the sport of Sandboarding. Once at the top you can enjoy this sport, and you can also take many photos. Finally we will return to the Huacachina lagoon, where passengers must return to the starting point (Hotel El Bamboo) and end the service. In the office we can offer our tourists taxi services.

    Tourists will visit the desert of Huacachina (Ica) in a Buggy with a capacity of 10 passengers (approximately). The passengers will take a tour of the dunes and we will make stops to practice sandboarding. Finally we will be able to see the sunset in the last shift of the day. * Important note: For "official holidays" in Peru, the duration of the Buggy ride will last approximately 01 hour (In all shifts from 10am to the last departure 5pm). On "normal" days (no official holydays), the only 02-hour tour is from 4:00p.m. to 6:00p.m (All other shifts before 4:00 pm will only last 01 hour).
