Exclusive Private Tour by a Singaporean Guide

I don’t know if there is a level I cooks designated as going even further than a “a step above” but if there is, that is where Alan and Amy are. Totally professional, affable, knowledge and accommodating, they made our short stay in Singapore simply marvelous. They are the ONLY guides anyone should ever use when exploring this incredible country. So happy we had the opportunity!

Book a private tour with Amy and Alan! We originally just booked our airport transfers with Amy and Alan, but we had such a great experience with our airport pickup, that when Amy let us know they also did private tours, we knew we had to book one with them too. They tailored the tour to the exact locations that we wanted to see. Alan would drop us off at a spot, and Amy would show us around and tell us about the history of the locations we were seeing. (Amy is super knowledge about all things Singapore!) We opted for an earlier tour but it was still pretty hot. So, we were very happy to see Alan when he came to pick us up in the comfortable, air-conditioned van that was also stocked with lots of water. Our tour included a round trip cable car ride to Sentosa Island. Amy booked our tickets ahead of time so not a single second was wasted. Amy was also our own private photographer on the tour. Most of the time, my family and I would take turns taking pictures of each other so it was so nice to come away with lots of great family pictures of all of us! We were in Singapore celebrating our parents 50th wedding anniversary so that made all the photos that much more special. My sister wasn’t feeling so well towards the end of the tour so we had to cut it short. Amy and Alan didn’t miss a beat. Alan came to pick us up and dropped us off at our hotel. Amy checked in on us later in the afternoon and asked if my sister needed anything. They went so above and beyond that it was like having family in Singapore. Amy even refunded a portion of the price of our tour because we had to cut it short! Needless to say, I highly recommend this tour if you’re visiting Singapore!

My family and I were so happy with the quality of professionalism, hospitality, and respect that Amy and Alan provided to us during our first visit to Singapore. Even before we arrived, they kindly reminded us about the importance of filling out the arrival card and other needed documents and where we would meet them at the airport. TO SUM UP, I would highly recommend this family owned company to anyone visiting Singapore or who require very comfortable and reasonable costing transportation to and from the airport. We booked pick-up and drop-off to the airport as well as a city tour. They were so accommodating to my family due to mobility issues and made changes to the itinerary so it would be still full with minimal walking. At one point, Amy ended up giving me a mini private tour for just me through Chinatown as we tried to avoid the rain that decided to come through the day while my family rested in an air-conditioned building. I had initially thought our tour might consist of driving through areas of interest and maybe popping out for a photo plus get a quick taste at the hawker stalls. Amy delightfully surprised me by thoroughly providing the historical importance of different landmarks and areas of interest throughout the tour. Since my dad didn't want to and couldn't walk much, she and Alan still made sure he had at least one family photo with us. For the most part, Alan kept my dad company in their comfortable spacious air-conditioned van while the rest of my family explored. Amy took photos and gave us background information on each of the areas including her own family's history in Singapore. Since Amy knows the hawker stalls really well, she was able to order the local favorites for my family. She has such a thoughtful personality that I felt like I was on tour with a friend leading the way. I had initially planned I was going to have my family do a hop on and hop off bus for a couple of the days of our short visit; however, I think with all the unexpected amount of walking combined with the temperatures, this private city tour was much better for the needs of my family as a whole. We saw so many of the sites I had planned on the itinerary for the rest of the visit that my family could fit in some much needed resting time into the schedule. My family and I had initially decided to only take cabs while we continued our visit for the rest of the stay, but Amy and Alan gently convinced us to try out the MRT and also gave us tips about the taxi system in Singapore due to the holidays. Their advice and guidance were so appreciated. As we drove, Amy and Alan also pointed out landmarks and areas of interest that we could further explore later. In addition, Amy kept in contact after our initial city tour day via phone to suggest different local cuisines and different areas of interest in specific towns/ neighborhoods during the rest of our stay as well as confirming details of our departure appointment. She also provided a MRT map which was very helpful. Although I felt sad that my dad due to his mobility issues and being tired from traveling could not really benefit from the full experience of the tour, I had peace of mind that he still was in a safe and cool space and could talk with Alan while the rest of the family explored. At the end of our trip, Amy and Alan provided us some of the pictures taken. It was such a sentimental gesture. I wish only the best and continued success of Amy and Alan and RUI Transport Services :)
