After seeing positive reviews I contacted them to ask about private or small group tours. I was expecting something similar to my highly successful experience with Context Tours in Italy.
This experience was terrible. Marion was slow to respond. She kept trying to treat my friend and I as a couple going so far as to book us in one room and sending me a single bill though we repeatedly told her we were two individuals who required individual bills and separate rooms. She insisted on booking our hotel in Sarlat but screwed around until we had no lodging options except for a tour group hotel that was very basic. It turns out she booked us for a series of their standard daily tours rather than helping us plan something special. The guide was okay, nothing special, and frankly we saw more interesting things on our own than they arranged. The total cost of the tour and hotel were far higher than the value provided. It is very easy to plan a better experience for yourself than to rely on Ophorus.

Excellent trip with a super guide, visiting 3 beautiful villages and a 50 minute boat tour. Timings were good, and we had enough time in each place, with extra information from our guide who was very knowledgeable. Good shoes such as trainers are needed as there are steps and some steep paths, so flip flops not a good idea. I would definitely recommend this trip.

Anne gave us a lovely introduction to the villages in the area and their history. Super viewpoints across the river valley and an enjoyable boat trip on the Dordogne, where we learnt about historic trade on the river. Everyone in our group was friendly.
Beynac is quite a steep descent by foot from the top. Less mobile people might want to travel back down in the vehicle.
