    Great half day excursions to some beautiful areas. Our driver and guide was informative and passionate about French history and made the journey go super fast. It was just the right amount of time in Fountain bleu and we were back in Paris by the afternoon! Being in a small group meant we were able to move through the things that hold up a large group quickly.

    Nous avons aimé la visite du Château de Fontainebleau. Par contre nous avons dû insister pour la partie de Barbizon de votre offre. Nous nous attendions à faire un arrêt à Barbizon pour une visite guidée comme le dit votre offre sur Viator. Ce que nous avons reçu c’est un TRÈS TRÈS court tour de minibus sur la grande rue de Barbizon et quelques explications parce que le guide avait une autre mission à 14h et sur son itinéraire il n’avait pas Barbizon. Compte tenu de la situation, nous vous demandons un remboursement partiel pour deux personnes. Il semble y avoir un problème de communication entre France Tourisme et Viator qui cause préjudice à votre clientèle. De plus nous avons dû composer avec un groupe majoritairement anglophone. Nous aurions aimé que ça se passe exclusivement en français comme offert sur votre plateforme. Merci pour votre suivi et remboursement.

    Our tour driver Philippe was wonderful. We enjoyed his historic and artistic point of view. If you're looking to do a shorter tour to a Chateau this is ideal.

    Fountainbleu is like a slightly smaller Versailles without any of the crowds. Full van but comfortable with a helpful multilingual guide to help everyone. Didn’t know what to expect with the small town of Barbizon but I loved it. Complete opposite of Fountainbleu but equally interesting

    I do not recommend this tour. I decided to take this tour because the tour information says it will stop (1 hour) at Barbizon. However, the driver/guide just drove through Barbizon with a short explanation about the village and did not let us go outside the van. He said there is no time to make the stop. I complained that the information said that we stop. But the guide said back to me that they never promised that they make a stop at the village. So, we ended up only going to the castle. At the castle we were given an information device. I don't think our guide did not do much job and his main job was to drive us there and come back. On the way back from the castle he stopped by at the gas station and filled in gas. If there was no time to make a stop at Barbizon, why didn't he fill in gas while we were at the castle sightseeing. He had about two-hour downtime. I felt that the tour guide did not respect our time and money. I took another half day tour with less money but got a lot more information and enjoyed it much more.

    Fontainebleau Castle is located in the south-east of Paris. Testimony of the French History since the middle Ages, Fontainebleau Castle was one of the favorite French kings ‘residences (from François 1er to Napoléon III). Most of them took part in the history and the building of the castle. Surrounded by a wonderful garden, the castle is marked by a great cultural heritage. Its architecture and interior decors is a mixture of Italian and French art. Since 1981, the castle belongs to the UNESCO world heritage. Nowadays, the Fontainebleau Castle is renowned for the beauty of Napoleon III apartments and its small theater recently restored.

    On the way back to Paris, we will go through the charming village of Barbizon, a small village from the early 19th century dedicated to impressionism and to many well-known painters such as Corot and Millet... A short stop will give you the opportunity to discover the school workshop of painter Millet.
