    Our guide Keith picked us up by boat right at our cruise ship dock. We enjoyed very scenic boat rides of about an hour to and from Margaret Creek. Keith led us to the observation blind, stopping to explain some of the interesting sights along the short walk. We had a fabulous show put on by “Scar Butt”, a female black bear, who caught four salmon about 50 yards from us. Photographers, 500mm will get you a full frame bear shot at Margaret Creek. We got lucky, but even if the bear hadn’t appeared, Keith’s easy, enjoyable style would have been worth the trip.

    I have never experienced such an exhilarating excursion! I have to say that seeing those beautiful bears was the highlight of my whole Alaskan trip. Thank you to Tyler who was our amazing guide! You do not want to miss out on this one!!!

    The company has fantastic communication! Captain Tyler met us near our cruise ship and took us on a magical day to visit the bears! Captain Tyler was very kind, knowledgeable and accommodating! To see wildlife like this in their natural environment is an experience of a lifetime! We were very close to the bears on a viewing deck at Traitors Cove. Tyler made sure we were always safe and the boat ride to and from was lovely! Thanks Again!

    Very comfortable boat, easy pick-up from wharf and saw black bears and bald eagles. Tyler was our captain and his friendly style and scenic trip to Margaret Creek made the one hour boat trip there very enjoyable. Short walk through the forest to the lookout point where we could see plenty of king salmon and bald eagles who were patiently waiting for the bears. All the ingredients were there but it looked like it wasn’t going to happen and then, suddenly, we saw a bear emerge from the bushes and walk across the log and snatch a salmon! Great moment. Not long afterwards we saw another bear with a less successful attempt. A very happy trip home, back in plenty of time to meet the cruise ship.

    We were picked up by the ship and we started our journey on the boat. The captain took us to an island where we were lucky enough to see a bear eating salmon last minute but quite far away so it was good I had binoculars. Then we went to a river with some salmon. It was fun and interesting to see so much wildlife. My 4 stars instead of 5 is because the journey was quite boring, and no much talk or interesting facts about Ketchikan no matter how much I kept asking
