    After an interesting introduction about the ceremony itself we were shown how to make our own Matcha. This was a great experience. Many thanks to our wonderful and patient instructor. We enjoyed it very much.

    Our host was lovely and provided some history. We had an opportunity to prepare the tea ceremony ourselves.

    While there are many tea experiences in Kyoto, none were available at the time we were going. This tea room added a time slot for us. I am so appreciative that they did because it was such a great experience. Kaori educated us about matcha and the process of correctly making the tea. We each got to make a cup and there were sweets to have at the start. Leave time to get to the location because it is a bit tricky to find.

    The tea ceremony was very calming and relaxing our guide gave us great explanation and was very patient with us. It was in a lovely old traditional Japanese house with a lovely garden. Would definately recommend to any visitor to Kyoto.

    It was a very nice experience and very good value for the money we paid. The lady was so polite and she explained everything very well in detailed. The house is a real Japanese house and the decoration was perfect. It is definitely worth of it. I strongly recommend.
