    Before I saw this tour, I didn't know rocks could be fluorescent! The tour guide was knowledgeable about the minerals found in local rocks and soil and the colors were amazing! Came across 3 scorpions!

    The tour guide was extremely knowledgeable about the minerals and their processes as well as the history of the area! The kids loved looking for fluorescent rocks with the provided black lights.

    Shawn was very knowledgeable on where to find rocks and in identifying rocks. Great fun! We went to three different locations and found a variety of fluorescent rocks.

    The Nighttime Fluorescent Rockhounding Tour was a really fun and unique experience. Shawn, our guide, was super knowledgeable and friendly, and he provided all the lights we needed. We visited three different spots to search for glowing rocks, which was a cool adventure in itself. We were a little disappointed that most of what we found were the same types of minerals, but we did spot some scorpions under the lights, which added an extra thrill. What really made the tour special was Shawn himself — he’s a local who runs this on the side, and his down-to-earth approach made it feel personal and authentic. I’d highly recommend this tour for anyone looking for something different to do at night in the area.
