I would've given this tour a 5 if it wasn't for the trip back from Limon waterfall. My volunteer with the horse was absolutely great going there. He was patient and knew i was scared. Coming back, he went slower than usual and would pull aside so others can pass by. Before you know it, I was the last person in this forest. That is when he started to ask me how much I was going to tip him. I tried to act like i didn't understand him and he even pulled put his phone for me to show him. Then I started to say several times, I'll ask my friends, even though I was there by myself. When we got back, everyone was in the vehicle ready to leave except the couple I met that came from same hotel.
This was very scary. I don't know what his intentions were or what he would've have done if I didn't keep saying my friends.
He had a beige horse. Please be aware.

This “8-9 hour” trip began at 6:40am. So my patience here after the 14th hour is thin. We finally got off the bus a bit after 8:45pm.
Bus rides, transits and van swaps took 8+ hrs at least. Boat rides took another 2+ hrs.
Several groups on the bus missed dinner reservations. I and my son missed events we had planned for 7 and 7:30. Loud, packed & hot busses. Very poor communication about the timing, agenda, and way too many delays just sitting and waiting thru the day. (And we’ve taken lots of these types of day trips and are usually pretty flexible.)
The falls _were_ pretty and a unique sight. and swim. The horseback guides were attentive and very careful.
But unless you have lots and lots of time and extra days to waste in Punta Cana, I recommend you look elsewhere.

Enjoy the natural landscape, I recommend living this beautiful adventure. The various species of birds, the caves, see the Samana Bay. As well as enjoying a delicious lunch.

This national park is very, very nice. The river, the sea, the caves, and all the nature that forms the park makes it an amazing place. Highly recommended, especially with Carlos. He is a very kind, friendly, and very good man.

It was an unforgettable experience we had a good choice to have done this walk with carlitos, the contact with nature and peace in that place is something magical.
