The Cathedral of Chiclayo, also known as Santa María Cathedral, is the main Catholic church in the city, located in the central Plaza de Armas. Its construction began in 1869 and was completed in 1939. Built in a neoclassical style, it features a symmetrical façade with columns, arches, and domes. Inside, it has three naves, Marian stained-glass windows, and the image of the Cristo Pobre (Poor Christ). It is a religious and cultural symbol of Chiclayo and has been recognized as a Cultural Heritage of the Nation since 1986.

Parroquia Santa María Magdalena - Ciudad Eten

The Church of Santa María Magdalena in Eten, founded in the 16th century, is an important religious site in Lambayeque, Peru. It is best known for the Eucharistic miracle of 1649, when the Child Jesus reportedly appeared in a consecrated host during the Corpus Christi celebration. The original church was buried by desert sands, though some of its remains still exist.
