Absolutely fantastic adventure! I can't recommend this highly enough. We started in kayaks for the first half of the day and enjoyed some small class II and III rapids while enjoying the deer, osprey, wild turkey, golden eagles, egrets, Canada geese, and at least two Bigfoot sightings. Our guide, Matthew, was absolutely top notch and I was deeply appreciative of his assistance since my kid and I were not experienced kayakers.
It was peaceful, fun, and there were more than a few marvels along the way. We stopped for an exquisite sandwich and then things got truly amazing. We ditched the kayaks and piled into the raft for some thrilling class IV rapids that left us breathless and laughing. I have done some amazing things in my life but this trip hit the high points list for sure.
Serious kudos for Matthew who kept safety at the forefront without drowning us in dire cautions. His directions were clear and easy to follow and, like all good guides, gave us great information along the way. Also kudos to Kindal who took some amazing photos that we will cherish for a lifetime.
This is a great operation with a top notch crew and I encourage everyone to flood the phone lines for reservations!

Every minute of this experience was my favorite, I couldn't choose one! Every guide made me feel extremely safe, and we had THE most fun each trip we experienced. For anyone feeling nervous about rafting for the first time, or ANY time, I highly highly recommend Jefferson State Outfitters. They know exactly how to make any and everyone feel 100% safe, secure and ready for any trip you might have planned, while ALSO giving the most fun experience you could ever have. They can answer any question about the area and rivers they guide, and more! Davey, Genesis, and Matt were each such a blast to have as guides, you're not only rafting with professionals, but great people as well. 10/10 Check them out for all Rafting and River Guiding adventures!!! (P.S. Genesis is highly versed in most of the plant life around the area, be sure to pick her brain a bit for some fun facts!!)

We did the half day salmon & steel head fishing trip in the morning, and then switched to the half day white water rafting in the afternoon. This was an unbelievable experience on the famed Rogue River. The fishing trip offered great views of the riverbanks where we observed an abundance of wildlife in their natural habit. Countless birds, deer, river otters, and even a bald eagle. We also were able to catch a few steel head which made for a great dinner later in the evening. As the afternoon heat approached the guides grilled up a nice lunch on the riverbank before switching to a raft for an epic water water adventure. The owner Dave McCollum guided us down the big Class IV rapids through Gold Hill with ease. This was an experience of a lifetime!!! I will be booking more trips with this outfit in the future.

Hi everyone!! I have to relay my thoughts on how great of trip I experienced with Jefferson State Outfitters. First, the balance between having a fun easy going time combined with clear professionalism, knowledge and safety was outstanding. The location is another benefit providing reduced driving time to get in to the put-in area along with getting back to your vehicles for the section of river we wanted to float. We had no problem providing a good tip for these guys for the day my family and I had. All in all, highly recommended! Cheers.
