What to expect
Loma Boat Ramp
Join us for a 1 day float through one of the great river canyons of the west! Our day will start early (7:00 am) as we meet at the Las Colonias Shop to fit our gear and prep ourselves for a full day on the river! Amazing scenery and abundant wildlife surround you as we sink into "River Time" for the day. Well stop at one of the many lunch spots available to us for a locally sourced freshly made lunch. There is cliff jumping or visits to some (10,000 year old) petroglyphs if time allows. All time estimates should be subject to weather (wind) and general flow of group dynamics. Drink coolers will be supplied for cold beverages, Sorry, No alcohol may be consumed on our daily trips.
Horsethief Canyon, near Fruita, Colorado, is a scenic ravine carved by the Colorado River. Part of the McInnis Canyons National Conservation Area, it offers hiking, wildlife viewing, and a glimpse into the area's rugged beauty and Old West history.
