Spent 8 hours on the bus an 3 hours on the river, it was supposed to be an 18 mile river trip but only did 5 miles. Nothing like the brochure advertised, I was very disappointed!!

This Trip was TERRIBLE! A waste of Money. Trip says 12.5 hours with only 2 hours actually floating the River and not to mention the float doesn't even take off from the dam. The lady driving the bus was awful we stopped 5 times on the way to river to pick people up and for restroom brakes. There was a restroom on the bus but the lady said "please don't use the restroom on the bus because I won't have time to clean it" PLEASE book this trip through Wilderness River Adventures for only $110 per person less than half the price for this rip off!!

We booked a couple of activities from your firm during my family’s stay at the Grand Canyon. The Grand Canyon Coach and River Float tour we took June 13 was booked from the online description was misrepresented. The only part of the description that was accurate was the tour that included lunch would last approximately 12 and ½ hours. The actual tour that your firm advertised, The Grand Canyon Coach portion of the tour we experienced consisted of a 9 and 1/2-hour bus ride, with two different bus drivers. We boarded the bus at 5:45 am and proceeded with our first driver to make a customer pick up at the Grand Canyon’s Maswick Lodge and then another pickup at Page Arizona. The first driver was an affable driver providing minimal information of the Grand Canyon we were traveling through along the road. Matter of fact the extent of information during this segment of the tour consisted of two pull overs to the side of the road each about 30 seconds in duration allowing passengers on the left side of the bus the opportunity to see what the driver was pointing out. After that the driver then put on a video without audio on various highlights of the Grand Canyon, none of which our tour had the opportunity to see live. In addition, we also had two stops at trading post which the driver described as a convenience stop and an opportunity to shop. Since the buses were equipped with a clean restroom this in reality was not a convenience stop but more so an income generating for the driver or tour company. After the second convenience stop the bus continued onto Page Arizona to pick up additional passengers and switch drivers. The second driver introduced herself and said we would be making a 15-minute stop at the Navaho bridge allowing us the opportunity to explore the dam area. The driver gave no information about the area bridge or dam area she just stopped and made an announcement to return to the bus in 15 minutes, no tour information whatsoever. We then reboarded the bus for the trip to what was described as the Historical Less Ferry for lunch, again we had no idea why the ferry was historical because the driver/tour guide gave no explanation. Her only comments were we are stopping for lunch, pick up your lunch as you disembark and be back in ½ hour to board the boats for the river segment of the tour. After the thirty-minute lunch we boarded the boats at 1:15 pm and proceeded to take a beautiful and very informative 2-hour float boat trip on the Colorado River not of the Grand Canyon as the trip’s headline advertisement alluded to. We asked the river tour guide why we were not going into the Grand Canyon and she explained the type of boat we were on was not allowed in the Grand Canyon. Another misrepresentation of the online advertising description of this segment of the trip was to be 4 and ½ hours not the actual 2 hours of time we were on the boats. After the float we reboarded the bus for our trip back to the Grand Canyon Village, where again the only interface with the driver did not include tour information of the area we were traveling through just a statement that we would be stopping at Camerons Trading Post for a 15-minute stop, and she was putting a DVD video. Ironically the DVD had no bearing on the Grand Canyon tour as it was Pirates of the Caribbean,. Based on the tour prior to my disputing the charge for this trip with American Express for non-performance, I am requesting an equitable credit to be put back on my American Express card. Be sure you realize that you will be on a bus for 9 plus hours. Be prepared that the ride on the boat has 47 degree water splashing on you. Nice scenery if you have properly prepared. We had an awful time. Too much time setting on a Bus with crazy kids running the aisle.

This tour started at 630 am at a meeting spot. We left at 7 am. The bus driver told us we will be in Page AZ in 3 hours which is where the boat tour starts. We did not see a sign of water until noon. They boarded us at 1230 pm. What were doing from 7 to noon? Oh stopping at visitor centers and dams. They had shops. We spent quite a bit of time on an Indian reservation and as much as I have respect for them, I wonder if they were looking to make a sale. These stops were not on the agenda. Then we were on the boat for 2.5 hours. It was supposed to be 3 hour boat ride. It was over 100 degrees. Our tour guide didn't speak unless spoken to first. He kept saying drink water. That was it. On our return, we once again stopped at a shop on the reservation. Another stop that was not included on the agenda. We were permitted to get out and shop but not eat. Mind you by then they had us out for close to 12 hours. Bottom line, if you are interested in sitting on a nice, cool bus for 8 hours with about 2 hours at various visitor centers than this tour is for you. If your looking for the adventure of the boat ride, that is not the focus of this trip. If you really want to see the Colorado River, add it to your trip through another means. This tour is bus focused with 2.5 out of 12 hours on the boat. The boat was uncomfortable. Many people were squeezed in. No one narrated.

The views were spectacular and our bus driver and bus was top notch. The tour company thoroughly kept us informed.

Pretty, but VERY long day! Too many stops going out of the way to pick up people. Guides not helpful.
