Europa Point

Europa Point is also the location of Europa Sports Park which hosted the 2019 Island Games opening ceremony and since 2013 Europa Point has been the location of the Sikorski Memorial.

A limestone cave location at the Upper Rock Nature Reserve, once believed to be the Gates of Hades, an entrance to the underworld. Although in a complete, natural state, this cave is beautifully lit, often used for performances. Earliest writings of this cave lead back to 45AD. Learn about the complex history of the cave and its various uses throughout the ages from ancient civilizations to modern day. Gibraltar is uniquely home to the only wild monkey population in the whole of Europe. A great opportunity to view our wildlife packs living on the steep slopes of the Rock. All in all, a visit to Gibraltar would certainly not be complete without having seen the Gibraltar monkeys up close. It’s an experience of a lifetime and definitely not one that should be missed!
