    I'm glad we did this tour. It was informative and interesting, and I feel like we learned a lot about the highlights of the area. I have nothing but good things to say about our tour guide Dinara, a very friendly young woman who kept everyone interested, and taught us about her country. The reason I'm giving 4 stars - still very good - rather than 5 is because of the comfort level of the bus we rode all day. There was in fact AC, as promised, but it didn't come close to keeping the bus cool in the 35° heat, not to mention that not every row had vents above it, so not everyone was getting the air flow. The seats were also very close together and cramped, and most people were saying they were uncomfortable. I would've paid a bit more for a slightly larger bus with an extra inch or two of leg room and comfort, especially considering we spent quite a few hours in the bus going back and forth. The company did provide water for everyone, and their reps were very helpful, but I still might look for an operator with a bigger vehicle next time, or just do a private tour. However, we like meeting other travelers so I chose this instead. I would recommend it in the slower season, or if you're 25 and can endure being cramped for hours. At nearly double that age maybe spring for a different option.

    What I liked: 1. Free taxi pick-up from the hotel 2. Guide speaks good English 3. Small group arrangement is great What I didn't like: 1. We skipped an important stop (Bibiheybat Mosque) 2. Long time in the bus, could be better planned 3. The historical commentary at Gobustan was lacking in detail and depth

    Amazing! The guide, Rza was attentive and I learnt so much history. Would definitely recommend! It was well organised, ran on time and I didn't have to worry about a single thing.

    Yanar Dag

    Guests will be taken to Yanardagh, located in Digah village. This is a spot of naturally burning gas, which comes out of ground. The fire here started many centuries ago and still burning. Although the size of the fire decreased over large exploration of gas resources in Absheron, the place is still very interesting and authentic. Here guests can see this natural event and also have a short break on nearby cafe with the view to fire.
